Event Cancellation


Changes to a reservation or to cancel a reservation can be done easily online through the website, under Dining.
You may also call or email the Athenaeum to make any changes or cancellation.

  • Special Event Cancellation
    • Reservations for all special events may be canceled or the number of guests may be changed up to three (3) working days prior to an event at no cost. Those who do not attend or fail to cancel within the time period noted will be charged the published price for the original number of reservations made.
  • Holiday Event Cancellation
    • In an effort to be fair to all members, holiday event registration will not open until after Labor Day for any events taking place in the month of December.

      Reservations for Holiday* events may be canceled or the number of guests may be changed up to three (3) working days prior to an event at no cost. Those who do not attend or fail to cancel within the time period noted will be charged the published price for the original number of reservations made.

      *GALA DINNER
      Due to the popularity of our annual holiday Gala Dinners, the reservations for this event may be canceled or the number of guests may be changed up to one month (30 days) prior to the event at no cost. Each registered member will receive written confirmation of their Gala Dinner reservation. To guarantee your reservation, a returned, signed confirmation is required upon its specified deadline. Those who do not attend or fail to cancel within the time period noted will be charged the published price for the original number of reservations made.
